Prof . Jose Jacob, Retired professor from Electrical Engineering of the college passed away at 2.a.m at the Daya hospital today. He joined GEC Thrissur in 1984. He was a graduate form NIT Calicut and post graduate in power systems from Anna University. He was an excellent teacher with large number of students. He worked in many capacities in universities as well as in the institution. He has retired as professor form the department in 2013. His wife Prof. Mercy was also a faculty in the Electrical Engineering Department. His residence is near the college and was native of Kottaym. Funeral on Monday at 2 pm at his residence i.e., Cherur.
